The Consulate Sections of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Abu Dhabi is responsible for providing visa services to those seeking to enter Somalia for a temporary or short period. Individuals from certain countries are able to travel to Somalia without a visa, instead they will receive visa upon on arrival.

Somali Visa Requirements:

1. Completed visa application form In Arabic or English
2. Copy and original passport valid for at least 6 months
3. Copy of residence permit & Emirates ID valid for at least 6 months
4. 2 recent colored, passport size, photographs of the applicant with white background
5. No-objection to travel letter from the employer or sponsor
6. Invitation latter from Somalia explaining purpose of travel
7. Proof of accommodation in Somalia
8. Copy of confirmed two-way airline ticket

Please note the following:

1. All documentation has to be submitted in Arabic or English language
2. The Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents
3. The applicant may be requested to appear in the Embassy for an interview
4. Children’s accompanying parents must submit a separate application form
5. Depending on the applicant’s nationality, visa processing time at the Embassy may vary from 1 to 7 working days
6. Submitting an application without the complete set of documentation according to the above checklist may result in the rejection of the visa application
